Amoeba App: A vocal training app for hearing impaired users (Graduate Semester Project: Sonic Interaction Design v. 1)
The Amoeba app assists Hearing Impaired people with training their voice. In our endeavor to empower hearing-impaired singers, we've pioneered a system harnessing the power of colors and vibrations. Through a combination of visual and vibratory feedback, our app bridges the gap between auditory perception and vocal production, enabling users to comprehend and refine their singing abilities even without auditory feedback. Haptic vibrations offer invaluable insight into pitch, while our future features, such as the vocal tract visualization will offer visual feedback on tone, and resonance, while colors correspond to different notes, aiding in the interpretation of vocal performance in real-time.
Through the seamless integration of innovative technology and user-centered design principles, our app revolutionizes the way hearing-impaired individuals engage with and learn about their voice. By providing personalized feedback that transcends auditory limitations, we empower users to explore their musical potential with confidence and creativity. Whether they are aspiring singers seeking to hone their skills or individuals simply looking to express themselves through music, our app offers a transformative journey towards self-discovery and musical fulfillment.
